Merino & Co FAQ's

General Questions

What makes Merino & Co products special?
Our handcrafted products combine precision craftsmanship with full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather, ensuring durability and timeless style. Every item is designed to last a lifetime, supported by our lifetime repair guarantee.

Are your products real leather?
Yes. We exclusively use premium, full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather from reputable suppliers like Hermann Oak Leather®. This leather develops a unique patina over time.

What is the thickness of your leather?
It depends on the product. Our Classic belts are made from 8–10 oz leather for durability and structure, while our journal covers use approximately 5 oz leather for a softer, more flexible feel. Other products range from 3–14 oz, depending on their purpose and intended use.

Where are your products made?
All products are handmade in our Denver, Colorado workshop.

Sizing & Fit

How do I choose the right belt size?
Please refer to our Belt Sizing Guide. For additional help, email us at info@merinoandcompany.com.

What belt widths are available?
Our Classic belts are available in:

  • 1.25” – Ideal for formal or everyday wear.
  • 1.5” – Perfect for casual wear or for those needing additional support.

For custom widths or lengths, please email your request.

Will my leather product stretch?
Full-grain leather softens, slightly elongates, and conforms with use but the material should not significantly stretch. Proper sizing ensures a comfortable and stylish fit.
