Merino & Co Belt Sizing Instruction

How to Measure Your Belt for Size

The most reliable way to determine your belt size is to measure a belt you already wear. If you don’t currently own a belt, refer to our Waist Measurement Guide.

Step-by-Step Measurement:

  1. Lay your belt flat.
  2. Measure in inches from the tip of the buckle prong to the hole you use most often.
(For trophy or western buckles, measure the same way.)
  3. Find your measurement in the left-hand column (below) labeled "Specific Tape-Measured Belt". Your correct Merino & Co belt size is directly to the right.

Rounding Tips:
If your measurement falls between inches, round to the nearest whole inch:

  • 38 ¼" → 38
  • 38 ¾" → 39

Note:
If your belt curves from wear, straighten it as much as possible along the measuring tape for accuracy.

The Approximate Pant Size column on the right is simply a gut check (pun intended) based on what the general market advertises for pant sizes. Keep in mind—pant styles vary. Some pants stretch; others don’t. Some sit high on the waist, others low on the hips.
