Merino & Co Belt Sizing Instruction
How to Measure Your Belt for Size
The most reliable way to determine your belt size is to measure a belt you already wear. If you don’t currently own a belt, refer to our Waist Measurement Guide.
Step-by-Step Measurement:
- Lay your belt flat.
- Measure in inches from the tip of the buckle prong to the hole you use most often.
(For trophy or western buckles, measure the same way.) - Find your measurement in the left-hand column (below) labeled "Specific Tape-Measured Belt". Your correct Merino & Co belt size is directly to the right.
Rounding Tips:
If your measurement falls between inches, round to the nearest whole inch:
- 38 ¼" → 38
- 38 ¾" → 39
Note:
If your belt curves from wear, straighten it as much as possible along the measuring tape for accuracy.
The Approximate Pant Size column on the right is simply a gut check (pun intended) based on what the general market advertises for pant sizes. Keep in mind—pant styles vary. Some pants stretch; others don’t. Some sit high on the waist, others low on the hips.
